Welcome to MeltMet Technologies’ website. Here you will find information regarding MMT’s ESRsim, SLABsim, and VARsim software tools for simulating the electroslag, electroslag slab, and vacuum arc remelting processes. These tools are intended to aid in the understanding, development, and optimization of a remelt practice by personnel who may lack the background or experience in the development and use of mathematical models. The pages on this site present some of the capabilities and results that can be obtained from these process simulators. An unregistered evaluation copy of each tool which simulates the melting of Alloy 718 in a typical melt configuration for each process may be downloaded from each respective page by clicking on any bold, italicized simulator name.

All simulators are implemented as stand-alone applications installed on a Windows-based PC, thereby avoiding any concerns regarding storage of sensitive, proprietary melt practice information on a web-based platform. All properties and data are confined to the local platform.
